The history of the Metropole Ruhr begins with the Christian faith and its culture! In 799, St. Ludgerus founded the Werden monastery near Essen, and around 50 years later (852), the convent for woman Essen was founded as the forerunner of today's Essen Cathedral. VOX WERDENSIS documents a Offizium (Liturgy of the Hours) in honour of St. Ludgerus and a High Medieval Easter play that was performed in the convent for woman for centuries during the Easter Vigil: two musical gems from the early Christian history of the Ruhr region!

"Hessen & Highlander 1746" recounts the true but little-known events surrounding the dispatch of 5.100 Hessian soldiers leased to Britain to Scotland in 1746 to help fight rebellious Stuart supporters. When the lines were to be crossed to genocide Gaels, they refused to carry out the orders of the British commander. The actual historical events are vividly narrated by the fictional "Captain Quest", impressively enriched by the historical music pieces recorded on the CD.
